Belly Dancer

Our Belly Dancer has been passionately involved in dance since 1996. Originally from Belgium, she moved to Brighton (UK) in 2004 to pursue her dream of becoming a professional dancer. She trained extensively in numerous dance styles such as street dance, tribal fusion, contemporary dance, flamenco, ATS, classical Indian dance, jazz, ballet and Oriental dance. She studied Dance Studies at the Laban school of dance in London and has a degree in dance and visual arts from Brighton University.

She studied Dance Studies at the Laban school of dance in London and has a degree in dance and visual arts from Brighton University.

Currently specialising in a 3 year course in choreology (movement analysis) at Laban, she is investigating the trends and tendencies of tribal fusion dance, a phenomenon originated from San Francisco.

She is also intensively training in Silvestre Technique, a contemporary dance technique from Salvador, Brazil. Each year she travels to Salvador to study this technique at the source.

She has performed and collaborated with some of the most incredible dancers and musicians, including Natacha Atlas, Merlin Shepherd, Phil Thornton, Sabio Janiak, Violet Scrap, Donna Mejia, Wendy Buonaventura, Rosangela Silvestre, Ela Rogers, Kathleen Pearlson, Alexis Southall and many more.
